NOSTALGIA FOR THE 80'S WILL FADE 2012 finds America unlike ever before with changes being forced upon every person in some way or another. In unsettling times people look back and take comfort from their self-edited memories. Today, older Republicans yearn for the safe and cozy feeling they remember having when Ronald Reagan was President. Of course, reality was different for most of the current US population. Half had not been born yet and millions of others were living outside the United States. The oozy goo of GOP nostalgia for the 1980's, when the love of money was elevated to a generational symbol of personal brilliance and insight, was never universal and today remains downright insulting to many people who see a bunch of goofy-haired greedy millionaires making things worse.
